Lamar Defeats Lewisville 48-8

On Friday, October 8th the Lamar Silver Foxes defeated Lewisville 48 – 8 in a varsity football skirmish in Richburg. The Lamar Silver Foxes played a strong offensive game with over 400 yards during Fiday nights skirmish. The first quarter saw an 8-8 tie after Lamar’s Patrick Anderson ran a 30-yard touchdown with 2 points extra. After the first quarter, something changes with the Silver Foxes that changed the tone of the game. Lamar proved to be unstoppable in the second quarter as they crushed Lewisville’s defense. Quan Toney and Travon McPhail together totaled 117 yards and 3 touchdowns bringing the score 32 – 8 with the Silver Foxes well in the lead for halftime. The third quarter saw one last push for the Silver Foxes as the team earned an additional 16 points. The fourth quarter was quiet therefore finalizing Lamar’s 48-8 victory over Lewisville. Go out and show support for your local high school athletes!
