Lamar continues its Sesquicentennial

The Town of Lamar presented a tribute to farmers and merchants on Saturday, August 27th in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on Railroad Avenue in Lamar. This is a continuing series of celebrations in commemmoration of their Sesquicentennial. PHOTOS BY STEPHAN DREW

On display were a 1947 Oliver tractor and a 1940 John Deere. BOTTOM: The crowd viewing the exhibits.

There was also a “Memory Board”, which included the names of every Lamar farmer, past and present.
