Lady Silver Foxes defeat Whale Branch 40-37
The Lamar Lady Silver Foxes handed Whale Branch a 40 to 37 loss in varsity basketball action on Tuesday, February 22nd, at Whale Branch. Whale Branch led the first quarter with a 11-4 lead over the Lamar Silver Foxes. By halftime, the Lady Silver Foxes were still behind with Whale Branch leading 18 to 9. At the start of the second half, the Silver Foxes closed the gap on Whale Braches lead ending the third quarter 28 to 22. By the end of the 4th quarter, Lamar had tied with Whale Branch 37 to 37 bringing the game into overtime. With one final push, Lamar made the final point finishing the game with Lamar victorious over whale Branch, 40 to 37.
