Many young students in Darlington County School District (DCSD) will soon receive free coloring books aimed at educating them about the importance of keeping their communities litter-free.

The Keep Darlington County Beautiful organization donated the books to DCSD recently. Renee Howle and Gary White, both representatives of Keep Darlington County Beautiful, delivered the coloring books to the district.

“It’s an important issue,” Howle said. “And this is just a way to give back to the community.”

Activities in the book depict ways citizens can help keep their communities litter-free. The book also includes a certificate for students.
