Jacob Johnson receives Eagle Scout

Jacob Gordon Johnson, age 18, of B.S.A. Troop 258 in Goldsboro, N.C., received his Eagle Scout badge in a ceremony and reception held at Pine Forest United Methodist Church. He is a senior at Rosewood High School, and is the son of Charles H. and Pamela O. Johnson of Goldsboro, N.C. He is the grandson of William J. Odom, IV and Marian Hendricks Odom of Summerton, S.C. He is the great-grandson of the late Dwight and Wilma (Parnell) Hendricks of Lamar, S.C., and the late William J. Odom, III and Jessie Mae (Windham) Odom of Darlington, S.C.

His Eagle project was painting a sponsor sign, cleaning flower beds, and donating/building and painting two picnic tables and two trashcan holders for the Rosewood Middle School baseball/soccer field.
