Second grade students and their parents took part in the first book club meeting at J. L. Cain Elementary School on March 15th. Prudence Manship and her Father James Manship were among the attendees. The book, The Great Kapok Tree, by Lynne Cherry proved to be an excellent choice to kick off the event. Book club meetings will be held throughout March and April at the school.
