Helen Wiggins Coker

Helen Wiggins Coker, age 76, passed away on June 12, 2023 at her residence. A visitation was held on Saturday, June 17 in Belk Funeral Home from the time of 1:00pm until 2:00pm. A funeral service followed the visitation at 2:00pm in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home, a private burial at the Florence National Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Helen was born in Mullins, SC on August 10, 1946 to the late David Wilbur and Laura Etta Hill Wiggins. Helen worked in the healthcare field at Bruce Hospital as a nurse and later as a private duty nurse before her retirement.

She is survived by her two children: Charles Wayne Coker and John Douglas Coker. Helen is also survived by her brother; Joseph Edward (Mary Ann) Wiggins, sister; Mary Elise Hopkins, and sister-in-law; Becky Wiggins.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband; John Coker, brothers: Walter Daniel Wiggins, David Wilbur Wiggins, Jr., James Lindsey Wiggins, J.W. Wiggins, Walter Daniel Wiggins, and sister; Darlen Lorraine Wiggins Grainger.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Temple Free Will Baptist Church 1660 N Governor Williams Hwy, Darlington, SC 29540.
