Hartsville to host Fiddlers Convention

On September 23-24, Hartsville will host its first ever Fiddlers Convention. This event features individual banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and dobro competitions, as well as band competitions. There will also be open mic and a street-wide square dance on Carolina Avenue!

This event is sponsored by Omar Shriners’ Darlington Red Fez Club and Jolly Jeepsters, an organization that prides itself in supporting the Shriners Hospital for Children. All proceeds from this convention will go directly toward the Shriners Hospital. This longstanding support would not be possible without the help of local citizens, which is why the Fiddlers Convention is open to sponsorship. Registration is open and tickets can be purchased online or at Burry Bookstore.

Prizes include cash awards as well as an expense paid trip to Myrtle Beach worth up to $700. In addition to these two prizes, there is also the chance to win free meals at the Mayflower Restaurant for a year!
