Hartsville sets the date for Miss S.C.’s homecoming
The Miss Hartsville Scholarship Board will host a Homecoming event to welcome home Jill Dudley, Miss South Carolina 2022 (formerly Miss Hartsville) on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m. in the Stein Gallery at the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center at Coker University.
The public is invited to attend and learn more about her time as Miss Hartsville, her role as Miss South Carolina and her upcoming journey to Miss America.
“We are excited to bring Jill home. This is the second time in 83 years that we have had a Miss Hartsville represent the state of South Carolina. Please come out and wish her well as she serves our state and prepares for Miss America,” said co-executive director Tiletha Lane.
Dudley is a native of Socastee and lives in Columbia, but pageant rules don’t require contestants to live in the towns they represent.
