Hartsville Rotary Club seeks nominations for Citizen of Year

Since 1940, the Rotary Club of Hartsville has presented the Citizen of the Year award to a deserving individual in recognition of their efforts toward improving our community.

Nominees for Citizen of the Year must have been active in community affairs for a minimum of five years and have performed an outstanding service to the community during the designated year.

Preference is given to those who have made public service a part of their life’s work.

The nomination period runs from Nov. 25-Dec. 24. Nomination forms are available in two locations: McGee Financial Group, 546 W. Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, and the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce office, 214 N. 5th St., Hartsville.

To request a nomination form by email or fax, contact Charles Saverance, president of the Rotary Club of Hartsville, via e-mail at csaverance@xdosinc.com or by calling (843) 260-4780.

The winner will be announced at the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce annual meeting Jan. 16.
