Jackie Griffin is the new Director of Guidance and College Placement at Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School. Her position is new to the school, as it now will focus on assisting students with any social or behavioral hardships they may face inside and out of the classroom. In addition to guidance support, Griffin will also help students make college plans by helping them through the college application, admissions, and financial aid process.
Griffin held a “College Application Night” recently for seniors and parents to learn more about the details and timeline of the college application process. Parent Mary Courtney Rogers said, “As the parent of a senior facing the college application process, it was a comfort to be provided with such valuable information at the senior college night. We look forward to having Ms. Griffin guide us through this process and appreciate Trinity-Byrnes providing such a quality service!”
In 2016, all members of the senior class were accepted to four-year colleges in 13 different states. Ninety-one percent were offered academic or athletic scholarships in addition to S.C. tuition lottery scholarships.
Griffin is excited for her new role and says, “Congratulations Class of 2017. You are ready for this, and you have been well prepared for this process.”
