Game called off after player tests positive for COVID-19

Last week, a player on the Hartsville High School varsity baseball team tested positive for COVID-19, the Darlington County School District said in a statement last Wednesday. As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, the team members must be quarantined, the district said. The Hartsville High School playoff game scheduled May 19 against Airport High School was canceled and the game will not be made up. Airport High School advances in the playoffs.
