Gainey awarded Karen Woodring Scholarship

Savanna Gainey (center) of Darlington was recently awarded the Karen Woodring Scholarship given by Xi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes professional and personal growth of female educators and excellence in education. Xi Chapter of DKG consists of members from Darlington, Florence and Lee counties. This scholarship is a one-time award of $500 given to a female graduating senior from Francis Marion University or Coker University pursuing a career in education. Savanna attends Francis Marion.
