Friends honor Kinloch with retirement parade
Friends and colleagues celebrated the retirement of Darlington County School District educator Karen Kinloch with a social-distancing car parade at St. John’s Elementary School June 17. Drivers honked and cheered and presented Kinloch with flowers, gifts, balloons and signs relaying love and good wishes. Kinloch served 20 of her 28-year career at SJE, with 16 years as assistant principal and four as principal. “This is like leaving family,” Kinloch said.
