A former corrections officer from Darlington County found herself facing charges after being arrested by State Law Enforcement Division agents. 39-year-old Kilenna Wright (pictured here), was taken into custody on Sunday on accusations of furnishing contraband to prisoners and misconduct in office.
According to warrants, Wright allegedly brought marijuana, tobacco, and rolling papers into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center. The warrants further claim that she concealed these items in a deodorant container, intending to provide them to an inmate.
Investigators reportedly have video evidence supporting the allegations, along with a recorded statement from Wright. She was able to post a $55,000 bond and was released from jail.
