Florence-Darlington Technical College plans job fair

Florence-Darlington Technical College’s Office of Admissions will host the Public Services Career Expo during the college’s annual Spring Job Fair on Tuesday, March 31, at the SIMT located on the college’s main campus.
Paula McLaughlin, FDTC’s Interim Director of Admissions, said FDTC students will be greeted in the SIMT lobby by the Public Services Career Expo. Both events will give FDTC students an opportunity to talk with employers and apply for jobs in the region.
Admissions is partnering with the following FDTC academic departments to provide information to students during the Public Services Career Expo: Human Services, Early Care and Education, Paralegal, Criminal Justice, Business Technologies.
FDTC holds job fairs twice a year, once in the fall semester and then again in the spring semester.
The event coming up March 31 begins at 10 a.m. for veterans and then the general public at 10:30 a.m.
The Spring Job Fair will last until 2 p.m.
FDTC’s Career Services Department is sponsoring the Job Fair along with the South Carolina Works Pee Dee and the S.C. National Guard. More than 80 local, state and national employers are expected to be in attendance.
“Come dressed to impress,” said FDTC Job Placement Coordinator Maria Pigatt. “Some of the employers will be ready to hire people on the spot.”
