FDTC’s Foundation sponsors golf tournament for scholarships
Enjoy South Carolina’s beautiful Spring weather on the golf course at the Florence-Darlington Technical College Educational Foundation’s 15th annual College Golf Classic and Corporate Challenge. The tournament is Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Traces Golf Club in West Florence and it’s all to support scholarships at Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC).
The tournament begin with registration at 11 a.m. and a catered lunch at noon. A “shot gun” start at 1 p.m. officially kicks off the FDTC Golf Classic and Corporate Challenge.
“It’s really two tournaments in one,” according to Jill Lewis, FDTC Educational Foundation Executive Director. “We have the Golf Classic running the same time as he Corporate Challenge and the winner gets to take the Corporate Cup home where they have bragging rights until next year!” Last year’s Corporate Challenge winner was NUCOR Steel of Darlington County.
