Early College Graduate Spotlight: Alexis Inman
Alexis Inman is one of five Darlington High School Early College Honors Program students set to graduate with her Associate of Arts degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College.

When DHS unveiled its Associate of Arts Degree program for qualified Early College Honors Program students, Alexis decided to rise to the challenge and take advantage of this opportunity. While only a high school freshman, Alexis committed to spend the next three years, including one summer, devoted to a full college course load each semester in addition to her other high school classes. Her hard work has paid off. Miss Inman participated in Florence-Darlington Technical College’s Spring commencement ceremony on May 11th and will now receive both her college degree and high school diploma during Darlington High School’s graduation ceremony on June 2nd.
Alexis is a dedicated student at DHS where she has been on the girl’s soccer team for three of her four years at DHS. Alexis also participates in the DHS National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is an active member of the Darlington Anchor Club where she serves as president. Alexis also enjoys having fun with her family, dancing, and watching Netflix.
Alexis plans to attend either Francis Marion University or Wingate University and eventually become an occupational therapist. In looking toward the future, she stated, “I have a heart to work with special needs children, such as my brother with autism. Overtime I hope to one day attend the University of North Carolina and own a therapeutic place of my own to help those children learn.” With the commitment and drive Alexis has shown thus far, there is no doubt that she will make these plans a reality.
