Deputies seize 40 pounds of marijuana

Executing a search warrant Dec. 15 at a residence off Hanna Pond Road outside Hartsville, Darlington County sheriff’s deputies seized 40 pounds of marijuana and other drugs, officials said. Deputies also seized 1 ounce of cocaine, a small quantity of crack cocaine and pills. Deputies also seized three firearms. Charged in connection with the case was Tacoa Robinson, who faces 13 charges involving drug, weapons and property offenses. As of last week, he was in the Darlington County jail; bond was set at $205,000. In a separate case, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence off Timberline Drive outside Hartsville. Marion Wendell Brown Jr. was arrested and served with a warrant for trafficking meth, officials said.
