Denim & Diamonds benefit to support the New Vision Community Development Corporation senior citizen projects

The New Vision Community Development Corporation has announced their “Denim & Diamonds Affair” to benefit service projects for senior citizens. Boardmember and project coordinator Clarence Ings said the CDC was excited to hold their annual event.

“The night will be filled with fun including a DJ who will take us all back to the 80s,” Ings said. “It will also include dinner, dancing and singing artist from the past Supremes, Whitney Houston, Temptation and more.”

The New Vision CDC has a special interest in Senior Citizens. They provide a number of services like field trips, bingo games, arts and crafts, and exercise classes.

Co-Chair Chanelle Ings is most excited about having citizens throughout Darlington County coming to showcase their awesome attire.

“The Denim & Diamonds events are sure to be an event for everyone to come and have a great time with laughter and fellowship,” Ings said. “Through this fundraising effort, we plan to use the resources to benefit our “seasoned” citizen projects we have through our non-profit organization New Vision.”

The event will take place at the New Hopewell Outreach Center Ballroom at 1416 Bethlehem Road in Hartsville on Saturday, October 14. Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the Denim & Diamonds Affair, or to purchase tickets, contact Clarence Ings at 843-383-2754 or Sarah Ketter at 843-393-0422.
