The Darlington County School District announced Jennifer Gribben will be the district’s new coordinator of English/Language Arts. “Mrs. Gribben brings an extensive background in English/Language Arts instruction to our district,” said Tim Newman, DCSD superintendent. “Now as much as ever it is vital that we reinforce our literacy curriculum and instructional delivery for our students. We are excited to have Mrs. Gribben join us and help guide our efforts in that regard.” Gribben most recently served as a lead teacher and instructional coach for the Marlboro County School District. Additionally, she has worked as an English/Language Arts teacher in Florence School District 4 (FSD4) prior to joining the Marlboro County School District in 2018. She also served as a middle school literacy specialist and lead teacher in FSD4. She spent eight years working in Florence School District 3 as an English/Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Ohio University. The district’s coordinator of English/Language Arts will help develop, implement and supervise the English/Language Arts and Social Studies instructional programs for grades 3-12. The coordinator will also provide staff development to bolster those areas of instruction.
