The Darlington County Animal Shelter was struck with tragedy July 12th when the old facility was struck by lightning; in addition to significant damage to the facilities, two precious dogs – Cora and Amelia – died from being electrocuted by the lightning.

Volunteers work so hard to save as many lives as they can, and desperately want to build safer new buildings but do not have the funds.

A YouCaring fundraiser has been created to help with fulfilling this dream: Shelter Building Fund: Help us make it safe! or send donations to: Darlington Humane Society, P.O. Box 1655 Hartsville, SC 29551 or through their website at www.darlingtonhumane.org
