Darlington varsity boys basketball team defeats Lamar by 89-38

The Darlington varsity boys basketball team returned home on Thursday, December 3, with an 89 to 38 win over Lamar in Lamar. Darlington held an 18-14 lead after the first quarter of play. By halftime, Darlington was up 44 to 29. After 3 periods of play, Darlington held a commanding lead after 3 quarters of play. Daveon Bowens scored a game-high 24 points while teammate Kennah Dubose added 18 points. Scott added 8 points while Samuel, Keith, and Lewis each placed 6 points onto the scoreboard. Davis and Pendergrass each had 5 points. Gary had 4 points, and Edwards, Richardson, and Fleming each had 2 points. Jordan also sank a free throw for a point. Lamar’s Jamieson Gardner scored a team-high 13 points while Delonte Martin added 10 points. Anderson had 7 points, and Carroway added 6 points. Price connected for 2 points.
