Darlington gets two weekends of snow flurries

Snow in the Pee Dee is usually placed in the category of “Don’t bet on it.”
But the past two Saturdays — Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 — have brought the white stuff.
Snow in Darlington County two weekends in a row? Jan. 22’s snowfall was much heavier than Jan. 29’s, which was basically a dusting that was mostly gone by noon or so.
Neither seemed to cause much damage in terms of downed power lines or downed trees.
These photos show both weekends’ flurries in Darlington and Hartsville. CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS
