Darlington Falcons defeat Lamar Silver Foxes 7-6

The Darlington Falcons defeated the visiting Lamar Silver Foxes in a varsity baseball skirmish 7-6 in Darlington, Tuesday, April 27th. Darlington Pitcher Tyler Berry pitched a no run opener for the top of the first inning. The first run for the game was made by #2 James Benson from Darlington after #9 Garrett Keen hit a long ball. ​The second inning was quiet for both teams until the bottom of the third when Darlington hit sending 3 players home bringing the score board up 4-0 with the falcons in the lead. The top of the fourth inning turned for the favor of the Silver Foxes when Lamars #9 Tyler McManus hit sending two players to the home plate. The Falcons followed with one additional run at the bottom of the inning bringing the score 5-2 for the Falcons. The fifth inning was quiet until the top of the sixth when the visiting Silver foxed pushed 3 more runs onto the scoreboard bringing it to a tie. At the top of the final inning, Lamar score one final run. Under tight pressure, Darlington finished the game with two runs bringing the final score 7-6 with the Falcons victorious over the visiting Silver Foxes.
