On Thursday, August 25th, owners Timmy and Nancy Huntley, as well as the management and staff of the Darlington Country Club, held a ribbon-cutting to open their newest addition – a relocated and totally redone 18th hole on the club’s golf course. It was approximately 4 months ago in April when work began. Timmy Huntley stated, “It took a lot of planning and hard work to get this done.”
When asked what the cost of the project was, General Manager Jim Vernon said, “I’m not sure of an exact dollar amount but, it was a very large investment.” The 34,000-plus square foot new green is closer to the clubhouse and is covered in 0.175 Sunday Bermuda grass.
