Dancing with the Stars returns for 2018
The Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault have announced that they will have presenting their fifth annual Dancing with the Stars of Darlington County on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Hartsville Center Theater.
The Pee Dee Coalition is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the reduction of sexual assault, family violence, and child abuse and the needs of the victims. The event is held to raise awareness and funding for the services provided by the Coalition.
A Reveal Party is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th at the Beasley Farm in Society Hill to announce this year’s celebrity and professional dancers. They dancers will also learn of the dance style that they will be performing and their choreographer. The board has planned another exciting event in January. This year’s theme is “City Lights”, which is guaranteed to be an entertaining show. The Artistic Directors for this year’s show are Tamara Weatherford and Lukas Glenn.
The board was thrilled with the support of the local community last year and hopes to be able to raise even more money with this year’s event. Opportunities will be available to support the cause through sponsorships, ads, ticket sales, and ballots. The ballots will be sold for $10 each following the announcement of this year’s dancers. All proceeds will go to the Pee Dee Coalition.
