Dale “Nina” Norment Mullinnix

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Mrs. Dale “Nina” Norment Mullinnix, 93, resident of High Point, died Oct. 22, 2020, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, N.C. She was born April 15, 1927, in Darlington, a daughter to the late Randolph and Sara Cole Norment. Later, she graduated from South Carolina University, where she obtained a B.A. degree and was a member of Alpha Delta Phi Sorority. Dale spent most of her adult life in the High Point area where she was a member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. She loved tennis, golf, swimming, crochet, reading, and especially gardening and hummingbirds. In 1949, she married Robert Lang Mullinnix, who preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jake Carroll, in 2010; a brother, Randolph Norment; and a sister, Bet Phillips. Surviving is her daughter, Cole Masear (Bill) of Archdale, N.C.; two sons, Dana Mullinnix of High Point and Cary Mullinnix (Leigh) of Trinity, N.C.; three grandchildren, Adrienne Mullinnix Hollern (Todd), Bryce Mullinnix (Melissa) and Meredith Carroll (Ricky Bratz); and five great-grandchildren, Thomas Hardy, Madeline Mullinnix, Maddox Mullinnix, Seth Hollern and Haleigh Hollern. The family received friends Tuesday at the home of Cary and Leigh Mullinnix, 7322 Chapsworth Dr., Trinity, N.C., 27270. A private memorial service was held earlier that day at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
