City of Hartsville announces 2016 holiday schedule changes for trash collection routes
Trash collection routes for City of Hartsville utility customers will move from their regular schedules to new dates for several holidays in 2016, beginning with New Year’s Day, when the regular Friday route will move to Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015.
Unlike past years, the route changes for 2016 will affect trash collection only, not recycling. When a recycling collection route does not occur because of a holiday, the recycling route will resume on the regular day the following week.
Holiday schedule changes for 2016 are as follows:
· New Year’s Day – Friday, Jan. 1 moved to Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015
· Martin Luther King, Jr. Day – Monday, Jan. 18 moved to Tuesday, Jan. 19
· Presidents’ Day – Monday, Feb. 15 moved to Tuesday, Feb. 16
· Good Friday – Friday, Mar. 25 moved to Thursday, Mar. 24
· Memorial Day – Monday, May 30 moved to Tuesday, May 31
· Independence Day – Monday, July 4 moved to Tuesday, July 5
· Labor Day – Monday, Sept. 5 moved to Tuesday, Sept. 6
· Election Day – Tuesday, Nov. 8 moved to Monday, Nov. 7
· Veterans Day – Friday, Nov. 11 moved to Thursday, Nov. 10
· Thanksgiving Holidays – Thursday, Nov. 24 moved to Tuesday, Nov. 22
Friday, Nov. 25 moved to Wednesday, Nov. 23
· Christmas Holidays – Friday, Dec. 23 moved to Thursday, Dec. 22
Monday, Dec. 26 moved to Wednesday, Dec. 28
Tuesday, Dec. 27 moved to Thursday, Dec. 29
