Join us on Wednesday, September 14th, as we host McCutcheon Road featuring vocalist Happy Pendergraft and keyboardist and vocalist Faith Godwin. They will present a program of songs including old favorites, gospel, and Broadway show tunes. They are well-known and perform often with The Lake City Playmakers, The Florence Little Theatre, and The Plaids. The program will be presented in the historic sanctuary of Central United Methodist Church on the corner of West Cheves and South Irby streets in downtown Florence beginning at 6:30 p.m. All LIVE@CENTRAL programs are free of charge. Dinner (optional) will be served at 5:30 p.m. The meal cost is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children (12 and under). Please call the church office at 843-662-3218 by noon on Monday, September 12th, if you plan to attend dinner or need additional information.

Dedication of True Gospel Church of Jesus Christ
The church will be having the dedication of their new church on September 18 at 11 a.m. at 2203 Harry Byrd Highway in Darlington. The Pastor is Apostle Jimmy Baker. All are welcome. Sunday School held at 10 a.m. on Sundays, and Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

Homecoming at Patrick Presbyterian Church
Patrick Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 116th anniversary with a Homecoming Celebration Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016. A covered dish fellowship will follow the 11 a.m. worship service. Trail Life is hosting an Open House at Central Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m. for boys and their parents.

Getting to Know You: A Community Fellowship
The St. John United Methodist Church presents “Getting to Know You – A Community Fellowship” featuring the Native American Committee of the S.C. Conference United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 24 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enjoy FREE bouncy house, food, story telling, drumming, games, Native American information, different tribes, and more. Young People Town Hall Meeting
Jeffery Dowling Ministries presents Young People Town Hall Meeting on September 24, 2:00 p.m.—4:00 p.m. at the Pee Dee United Elks Lodge 832 Timmonsville Hwy., Darlington. This Town Hall Meeting is for ages 10-18 years old, and is designed with the purpose of mentoring our young males. The meeting allows the young people to allow mentors to be able to talk find out what issues they are dealing with, and really give them a chance to vent.
Parents, it is crucial to allow your kids to come out and be a part of changing our community one child at a time. We have to be the ones to make the effort and get to the bottom of what our young men are dealing with. DJJ, Prison, and SCDC is not the solution. Outdoor Gospel Sing at Society Hill Presbyterian
Society Hill Presbyterian Church will host an Outdoor Gospel Sing Saturday, Sept. 24 beginning at 7 p.m. The church is located at 308 Pressly Avenue in Society Hill.
Scheduled to perform are The Tyners, Larry Tice and the Society Hill Presbyterian Church Praise Band. If you, your band/group, or your church choir is interested in performing, please contact Pastor Bob Sloan at 843-287-1088.
Chicken bog plates will be available for purchase for $7. The plates include chicken bog, green beans, cole slaw, bread, dessert and a drink. Eat in or carry out.
Admission is free, but love offerings will be gratefully appreciated.
Seating is limited, so consider bringing your lawn chairs. Please make plans to join us.

Church Anniversary
Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church on 552 E. Billy Farrow Highway in Darlington will be celebrating it’s 147th Church Anniversary on Sunday, September 25 beginning with Fulfillment Hour at 9:00 a.m. and Morning Worship at 10:00 a.m. The guest speaker is Reverend Deloris Jackson-Brown of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Mullins, SC.
