Annual Harvest Festival at Savannah Grove
Savannah Grove A.M.E. Church, near Lamar, will have their Annual Harvest Festival Program Sunday, October 16 at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Leo Chapman, Jr. and the Bethel A.M.E. Church Family from Dillon will be the special guest. Rev. Steven C. Gilchrist is the Pastor.

Homecoming at Society Hill Presbyterian Church
Society Hill Presbyterian Church will celebrate its 125th anniversary with a Homecoming Celebration Sunday, Oct. 24, 2016. Serving as guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Frank Colclough. A covered dish fellowship will follow the 11 a.m. worship service.
Society Hill Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest churches in Darlington County, having been organized in 1891. It was registered a National Historic Landmark in 1974. The church is located at 308 Pressly Avenue.

Macedonia accepting registration for winter youth programs
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Life-Skills Center, 400 S. Main Street, is accepting registration for their winter youth mentoring and tutoring programs to be held Monday and Tuesday nights, 5:30-8 pm, beginning October 17th for youth, ages 6-18. Just for Women Ministries Fall Bible Study
Learning from the great prayers of the Bible. Fall 2016
Mondays in Darlington: September 12 – November 14 at First Baptist Church, 216 South Main Street. Noon session: Lunch served from 11 a.m. – 12 noon, teaching session from 12 noon – 1 p.m.; Lunch fee is $7. Evening session: 7 – 8 p.m. (no meal served)\
Tuesdays in Florence: September 13 – November 15 at First Presbyterian Church corner of Park and Cherokee Rd., Florence. Noon session: Lunch served 11 a.m. – 12 noon; teaching session 12 noon – 1 p.m. Evening session: supper served 6 – 7 p.m., teaching session 7 – 8 p.m. Meals are $7 each.
The teaching hour is free; ministry is fully supported by your donations.
Kathy Griffin is the Teaching Director at Just for Women’s Ministries. In 2002 she began working closely with Betsy Bird, founder of Just for Women Ministries. Kathy has facilitated and taught many Bible studies over the years. She has a passion and love for the Lord and His Word. She is married to Allen Griffin, and they have two sons and a daughter in law. Lessons are recorded and available on CD or DVD and purchased the following week for $3. The Lord Cares
Please continue to assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area. T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels.
