The Lord Cares: the cupboards are bare!
Please assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area.
T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels.

Operation Christmas Child at Central Baptist
Central Baptist Church, 512 Spring Street, Darlington, is a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. The collection dates are November 16-23, 2015. First Church of God Youth to host Yard Sale Fundraiser
The Student Ministries of First Church of God will host an Indoor Multi-Family Yard Sale on Saturday, November 21st from 9:00 a.m. until noon in the church fellowship hall, located at 620 North Main Street, Darlington. There will be lots of great items for you to rummage through as individual families from the church host their sections with their items for sale. As part of the event, the youth will also have for sale refreshments, including hot dogs and drinks, as well as homemade baked goods to enjoy while you are shopping. Come out and enjoy the fun and special deals!

Thanksgiving Community Dinner at Bethel A.M.E. Church
Bethel A.M.E. Church will be giving a FREE Thanksgiving Community Dinner at Bethel A.M.E. Church Annex on Saturday, Nov. 21st from noon to 4:00 p.m. Church is located at 1333 South Main Street in Darlington. This dinner is open to the community and public. Come out and enjoy a good meal. The Reverend Dr. Crystal Sears is the pastor, and Ervin & Nancy Dargan are chairpersons of this event.

Macedonia seeks information on Dr. Brockenton
Deacon Patsy Y. Sawyer is in search of relatives of Dr. Isaac P. Brockenton, former pastor of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Brockenton served at Macedonia from 1866 – 1908. The Fifth Freewill Singing Convention will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church, Sunday November 29 with Sunday School starting at 9:30 a.m. Asking for all choirs to be on time for Sunday School and Worship Service. New Bethel Baptist Church is located at 1895 Hwy. 15 N., Bishopville.
