BBQ fundraiser for DCHS Rescue
A BBQ fundraiser will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 for the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue Effort. Plates are $8 donation for Schoolhouse BBQ of Scranton pork BBQ, rice with your choice of liver hash or red gravy, coleslaw, sweet potato soufflé and bread. Dine in or take out. Darlington: First Church of God, 620 N. Main St. ALL DAY 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. In Hartsville: West Hartsville Baptist Church, 1003 W. Carolina Ave. 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets will be available and donations will be accepted in Darlington at First Church of God, the Darlington County Animal Shelter, Merle Norman and Bella Domani; in Hartsville at West Hartsville Baptist Church, Burry Bookstore, Holland House Hair Designs, Colours, and CJ’s Cakes and Catering. Fifth Sunday Freewill Singing Convention
The Fifth Sunday Freewill Singing Convention will be held at Mt. Tema Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday, August 30 with Sunday School starting at 9:30 a.m. asking all choirs to be on time for Sunday School and Worship Service. Pastor Delen McRae. Mt. Tema Missionary Baptist Church is located at 1730 Tema Road, Hartsville.
Holy Eucharist Rite II at St. Catherine’s
St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church meeting at Back Swamp School on Sunday, August 30, will have The Rev. Jeffrey R. Richardson, Vicar as celebrant and preacher for Holy Eucharist Rite II. Please join us.
St. Catherine’s will continue worshiping at 10 a.m. through September.
On Sunday, September 6 at 10 a.m. St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church meeting at Back Swamp School will have the service of Holy Eucharist Rite II with The Rev. Jeffrey R. Richardson, Vicar, celebrant and preacher. Sunday School and the 11 a.m. service will resume in October.

Women’s Day Service
Center Baptist Church will hold its Annual Women’s Day Service, Sunday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. Our speaker will be Minister Augelisa Hickman of Florence. All are invited.
