Chefs to battle for the Culinary Cup
Professional chefs will go head-to-head as they battle for bragging rights and the inaugural Culinary Cup trophy on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Tanglewood Plantation beginning at 5:00 p.m. The event, which will showcase some of the best chefs in the Pee Dee and surrounding areas, is a fundraiser for the Darlington County Education Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting public education in Darlington County.
The DCEF Culinary Cup will be a fun, fresh, and new cooking competition and food tasting event that promises to challenge the skills of professional chefs and delight the palates of the most discerning gourmands. Attendees will enjoy portions of each chef’s creation and will vote on a “Fan Favorite.” The dishes will also be judged by a panel of industry-renowned judges.
Among those competing for the trophy are chefs from local restaurants including:
Block & Vino of Florence, Fiasco of Florence, The Lighter Side of Hartsville, The Midnight Rooster of Hartsville, Town Hall of Florence, and Victor’s of Florence.
