Celebrate 25 years of Letter Carriers Food Drive

On Saturday, May 13, the National Association of Letter Carriers with the support of the U.S. Postal Service, the Rural Letter Carriers Association, the United Way and the AFL-CIO will participate in the 25th annual Letter Carriers National Food Drive.

This event is the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Thanks to the generous support of postal customers and partners, over 80 million pounds of food was donated to aid millions of needy families and individuals in 2016. This brings the total for 24 years to over 1.5 billion pounds.

Customers are requested to leave their donations of non-perishable food on their mailbox on May 13, and the carrier will pick them up when delivering the mail. All donations will be distributed to local food banks and pantries.
