Sheriff Tony Chavis has announced the arrest of three by the Drug Enforcement Unit, including a convicted violent felon, after a search of a residence last Tuesday on Candy Lane in Darlington County. Patrick man killed in crash near Hartsville
A one-vehicle crash late Feb. 4 killed a Patrick man, officials say. Ronald Griggs, 56, of Patrick was pronounced dead at Carolina Pines just before midnight, said Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee. The accident occurred just north of Hartsville on Highway 102. The incident was under investigation by the Darlington County Coroner’s Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
