Carolina’s Kids Inc. now accepting book donations
Carolina’s Kids has announced a new program, The Bookshelf. Thanks to the Darlington Co Education Sorority who came up with the idea and also got it started with a donation of all levels of books. A huge and heartfelt thank you to Dave Rosevere, Lawrence Hope, Dick Porter and Jay Davis who built the beautiful bookshelves to hold our donated books. What is The Bookshelf? It is a library of gently used and new books available for the school social workers and family school facilitators to take and give to children of all ages who do not have books at home. Carolina’s Kids wants to fill the bookshelves and is accepting donations. Books can be left in the donation bin at Carolina’s Kids in Hartsville. They are located on the Thornwell School for Arts Campus beside the gymnasium, which faces 8th Street. They can also be contacted at carolinakids@roadrunner.com.
