Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center names Bill Little as Chief Executive Officer
Officials at RCCH HealthCare Partners announced that Bill Little has been named Chief Executive Officer at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.
Jon Shannon, Chair of the Board of Trustees for Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, said “We are very pleased to welcome Bill and his family to Hartsville and to Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. I am confident he is the right person to lead this hospital forward.”
Terry Gunn, President of RCCH HealthCare Partners South Carolina market, added that Mr. Little was selected by the Board following a national search that yielded a field of excellent candidates.
Mr. Little has spent the past twenty years in healthcare leadership roles. He served for five years as CEO of Highlands Medical Center in Sparta, Tennessee, a former RCCH HealthCare Partners hospital. He also served as CEO of DeKalb Community Hospital and Stones River Hospital in Tennessee. His extensive experience includes serving in roles as hospital Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer as well as Vice President of Financial Operations for a national healthcare organization.
According to Mr. Little, “I’m very excited about the opportunity here at Carolina Pines. We are going to make sure that this is a hospital of which the entire community can be proud. We will, first and foremost, focus on providing high quality, compassionate care–always looking to make those services more accessible to our community. With the support of RCCH, we will continue to invest in both the facility and in recruiting needed physicians to the area.”
Mr. Little has a tremendous record of success working with physicians and hospital employees to improve care and expand the range and depth of services provided at all the local hospitals where he has served. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University. He is also a CPA.
Mr. Little has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 28 years, and they have three daughters and one son-in-law.
