CareSouth Carolina welcomes Amy Snyder,  FNP-C, as the newest provider at its CSC Hartsville Medical office.

Specializing in Family Medicine, as well as Women’s Health, Family Planning, and Birth Control options, Snyder comes to CareSouth Carolina with more than 31 years of experience in the medical field. Originally from Pennsylvania, Snyder said she relishes the opportunity to provide access to high-quality care for the residents of this community.

“It’s the population I wanted to care for,” Snyder said. “I’ve been in Hartsville for more than a decade now and love the area. I really wanted to help serve the underserved and provide care to people who may not have access otherwise. I just enjoy being able to help people.”

She attended Northern Kentucky University in Highland Hills, KY, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing. Before that, she attended Western Governor’s University (Salt Lake City, Utah), where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and she received a Diploma in Nursing from Geisinger School of Nursing (Danville, Pennsylvania).

Before coming to CareSouth Carolina, Snyder worked as a Staff Nurse at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, McLeod Regional Medical Center, and Geisinger Medical Center. She has several licenses and certifications, including a Registered Nurse License, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification, Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, Nexplanon certification, IUD Placement certification, and has completed the Neonatal Resuscitation Program.

Outside of work, Snyder is the Organist at her church and enjoys spending time with her family. In addition, she’s excited to be in the midst of planning her wedding, so if you see her around, make sure to tell her congratulations.
