Bellevue – the gorgeous home built in Society Hill by David Rogerson Williams, II circa 1845 – 1850 is being lovingly restored by Dr. Ernest “Chip” Helms. To walk through the home and the grounds is much like going back in time. The house has Greek Revival influences, Ionic columns cast iron railings on the balconies, and boasts triple hung windows that overlook the stunning grounds. The 5,000 square foot, ten room home boasts a stunning three story spiral staircase. The grounds are full of rare native azaleas, magnolias, live oaks, fragrant tea olives and ornamental bulbs. It is, quite simply, magical.
