Basic dog training class to be offered
Learn positive methods to teach your dog sit, down, loose leash walking, coming when called, wait, stay, back, leave it, polite greetings and more. The class will be led by Margi Baldwin Moore, APDT Professional Member #77711, at the Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center, 300 Sanders Street in Darlington. Orientation night, without the dogs, will be Aug. 8 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Working classes with dogs and handlers start on Aug. 15. The classes will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for six weeks. Graduation will be Sept. 26. The class is $150 per dog/handler team. Dogs and puppies must have had two series of vaccinations at the time of the first working class. Records due at orientation. All attendees must wear soft soled, non-marking shoes to all classes. Registration and ½ tuition required by Aug. 6 with balance due orientation night.
