Prom Promise at Darlington High School
Members of the Darlington High School junior and senior classes witnessed a graphic re-enactment of a fatal DUI crash last week on the DHS front lawn. The staged wreck was part of the annual Prom Promise program, which aims to keep students from drinking and driving when they attend school dances. A photo gallery of the event can be found here.
DHS basketball players receive awards
Several Darlington High School basketball players were recently recognized for their work on the court. During a ceremony in the school cafeteria on March 20, the students received plaques. The Most Valuable Player Award was given to Tabias Dixon and Kelvin Polk was the recipient of the Most Improved Player. Darlington Police Department raising money for a cure
The Darlington Police Department is working to help find a cure for cancer. Through several different ventures, the department is working toward their goal of $2,000 for the Darlington County Relay for Life event happening May 5.
