America’s Journey for Justice

The NAACP together with a broad coalition of partners has embarked on an 860-mile journey to show that Our Lives, Our Votes, Our Jobs and Our Schools Matter.

We need you!

The march began in Alabama on August 1 and will reach Washington, D.C. on September 16.

The America’s journey for Justice Procession will arrive in South Carolina by way of Aiken County on the morning of August 25, 2015. Cheraw, S.C. has been designated as an Anchor Location. Procession will arrive at the Cheraw Anchor Location August 27 – August 29 at the National Guard Armory located at Hwy 1.

The Anchor location in Cheraw needs support in raising funds to cover the costs of breakfast, dinner, and a boxed lunch for the projected 250 marchers that will be
arriving.

To donate, contact the Cheraw NAACP: Stevenson Pierre, President: 843-337-8675; Jacqueline Ellerbe-Shannon, Community Development Chairperson 843-537-5593; or
Frieda Ellerbe, Committee Member 843-537-2644.
