The New Vision Community Development Corporation hosted a very special prom for seniors called “A Night to Remember An Adult Prom” including a D.J. and a live band and performances by “The Temptations” and “The Supremes” as the elegantly dressed participants danced the night away. Other entertainment included a newlywed game show, and a delicious meal was served by Forte’s Catering.

Board member of the New Vision CDC, Clarence Ings, said the event was a success. Co-Chair Chanelle Ings shared the that the prom court was her favorite part of the night. “Th Prom featured attendees who participated in the court, and judges selected a Prom King Samuel Graves and Prom Queen Eliza Graves. Through proceeds from this event, we plan to us the resources to benefit our ‘seasoned’ citizen projects we have through our non-profit organization.”
One of the attendees, Mrs. Annie L. Ings, age 89, was delighted for the chance to dress up and enjoy the fun.

The committee is thankful for the sponsors who donated gift cards, donations, etc. such as: SPC Credit Union, Pee Dee Electric Corp., Hines Funeral Home, Spider BP, Mr. B’s Restaurant, The AKA Sorority off Hartsville, Sew Unique of Hartsville, Sashe’ Hats to name a few.
