34th Annual S.C. Sweet Potato Festival to feature local and state entertainment

The Pilot Club of Darlington hosts the 34th Annual S.C. Sweet Potato Festival, to be held on October 8 on the square in downtown Darlington, featuring new local and state entertainment showcasing entertainment those in attendance will be sure to enjoy.

Darlington County native and rock/country music singer-songwriter Kendall Skinner will bring his talents to the festival for the first time. Skinner has played in venues throughout South Carolina and will be a hit of the festival. His smooth voice and fine guitar playing skills will delight all those in attendance.

Summer of Corruption is made up of lead singer and Dillon S.C. native Fallon Adams, who actually was named first runner-up in the 2015 Miss S.C. Sweet Potato Festival Teen pageant. Adams along with band mates Raymond Wacha, Jackson Little, Dash and Colangelo DiMartino will bring a bit of pop and rock to the stage as they made their inaugural debut in Darlington.

If you like entertainment from several genres then you’ll be sure to enjoy South Carolina’s Outstanding Teen and clogger Ashleigh Smith, Miss Hartsville 2016 and vocalist Mikeya Murphy, Miss Darlington High School Teen 2015-2016 and vocalist Aubrey Goodwin, Miss Greater Easley Teen Sarah Finyleson, the overall talent winner at the Miss South Carolina Teen pageant with her “Gone with the Wind in 90 seconds” monologue, and vocalist and Teen Miss Chesterfield County United States Maquitta Butler.

Miss S.C. Sweet Potato Festival 2015-2016 Chelsea Bullock and Miss S.C. Sweet Potato Festival Teen 2015-2016 Kinsley Odom will also make a special appearance to speak about their accomplishments at this past year’s Miss South Carolina and Miss South Carolina Teen pageants.
