3 held, 1 sought in man’s killing

Three people have been arrested in the armed robbery and slaying of a man in the Oates community on April 9, the Darlington County Sheriff’s Department says.
A fourth suspect also was being sought in the death of Willie Jackson at a residence on Old Timers Court.
Arrested were Tyneshia Jhane Price, 25, of Hartsville; Devon Demarco Rembert, 19, of Hartsville; and Nelson Hawkins, 51, of Darlington, according to a statement from Sheriff Tony Chavis.
Price and Rembert are charged with murder and armed robbery.
Rembert is also facing two other pending charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in the April 2018 killing of a Lamar man, officials said. Rembert had just been released on bond March 12 on those charges.
Hawkins is charged with accessory before the fact to a felony, officials said.
Still being sought was Jelonta Chavon Bacote, 27, of Darlington, who is wanted for murder and armed robbery.
