Woman, 22, dies in Darlington shooting
A 22-year-old woman has died from her injuries after she was shot Jan. 7 “as she was leaving work” on Oak Street in Darlington, officials said. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said Shanice Williams was shot about 3 p.m. “as she was leaving work.” She was taken to a local hospital where she later died. Local media reported that she worked for Oakhaven Nursing Center and was shot in the parking lot. Hardee ruled the death a homicide. The Darlington Police Department was investigating.
