Sarah Anne Clough and Jonathan Angier Hardin of Columbia, S.C. were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, June 20th 2015 at 6 o’clock in the evening at The Millstone at Adam’s Pond in Columbia, S.C. Dr. Jason Scott Whitener performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steven Dewitt and Cynthia Elrod Clough of Columbia, S.C.

The bride was home schooled. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BA in Sociology and Minor in Psychology. She is currently enrolled at Midlands Technical College in the RN/ADN program, and was elected Vice President of the Student Nurses Association at Midlands Technical College.

The groom is the son of Charles Arnold and Mary Kuhn Hardin of Darlington, S.C. He is a graduate of Mayo High School in Darlington, S.C. He is also a graduate of Midlands Technical College with an AA, and a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BA in Sociology and a Cognate in Sports Marketing and Management. He is employed as a disability examiner with the Department of Disability Services at South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation in the Columbia area office.

The bride was escorted by her father, Steven Dewitt Clough. The bride wore a strapless sweetheart neckline, full lace gown with a trumpet skirt and chapel length train. The dress had a low back with buttons all the way down the train, and featured a scalloped hemline and eyelash neckline detail. The bride wore a satin ribbon belt/sash with antique rhinestone accents, and a cathedral length veil trimmed in lace.

The bride carried a hand tied white hydrangea bouquet accented with magnolia leaves. The bouquet was tied with satin ribbon and pearl pins and was wrapped with a hand-embroidered handkerchief featuring a blue “H” monogram. Attached to the bouquet were a sailboat charm, and a deck of cards charm, in memory of the bride’s late grandfathers.

Ms. Baylee Wynne Fulmer, friend of bride, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were: Mrs. Tina Marie Elrod, aunt of bride; Ms. Caroline Elisabeth Cross, and Ms. Elissa Damaris Negron, friends of bride; and Mrs. Jessica Mering Hardin, sister-in-law of the groom. Honorary bridesmaid was Ms. Emily Jayne Clough, sister of bride. Junior bridesmaids were: Miss Haleigh Elizabeth Scott, family friend of bride; and Miss Rachel Christine Lopez, cousin of bride. Flower girls were: Miss McLaurin Elizabeth Bankhead, family friend of bride; Miss Virginia Grace Laney, cousin of bride; Miss Lundyn Doris Renfroe, family friend of bride; and Miss Anne Ridgely Hardin, niece of groom.

Charles Arnold Hardin, father of groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were: William Burgin Hardin, brother of groom; and friends of the groom Robert Brenton Dana, Mr. John Lafitte Warren III, and Timothy Patrick Mahoney. Honorary groomsmen were the late Richard Payson Dana, and the late James Radisson Dana, friends of groom. Junior groomsmen were: Dillon Andrew Elrod, Harrison Reid Lanham, Robert Ellis Lanham, and Zachary Thomas Elrod, cousins of bride. Ring bearers were Jonathan Boyce Bankhead Jr., and William Gardiner McAlister Bankhead, family friends of bride. Ushers were: Austin Thomas Oates, Bryant Pickens Gardner, James Ryan White, and William Anderson Boyles, friends of groom.

A reception was held at The Millstone at Adam’s Pond immediately following ceremony.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Columbia, S.C.
