Two additional arrests in Syracuse Street murder
Two more arrests were made by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, after a deadly shooting near Syracuse Street on January 20. Authorities arrested Tre’Von Kavontae Johnson, 22 of Hartsville and an unidentified 16-year-old on Monday, February 6, in connection with the shooting. The two suspects are charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The two allegedly fired shots into a car carrying 3 people, injuring one and killing a 17-year-old. The investigation is ongoing.
