Trinity hires new official

Trinity Collegiate School announces that Jessica Iseman will be the school’s new director of college placement. Iseman is a Lamar native and alumnus of Mayo High School for Math, Science and Technology. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina in 2002, and has since completed graduate work in the fields of organic chemistry and education. After graduating with her bachelor’s and completing two years of research in organic chemistry, Iseman returned to Lamar to be close to family. She has been a teacher for 17 years at Darlington Junior High, Darlington Middle School, as well as Trinity Collegiate for the last seven years. She has also served as the head of the Science Department and the coordinating teacher for distance learning during the 2020-21 school year. She discovered her love of education at an early age, and has wanted to work in the field of education since her childhood. Her passion for science drove her to teach at both the university and secondary levels for nearly two decades. During that time, she developed a desire to see her students succeed in all areas of life, including a desire to help each of them explore their options for education past the high school years. “A college education is the key to future success for so many of our students and can be a life-changing experience for young men and women from all backgrounds and walks of life,” said Iseman. “I have always been an advocate for my students as their teacher, and look forward to helping them explore their options beyond their years here at Trinity Collegiate School.”
